• Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral widely enjoyed as an ornamental stone. It is an opaque blue-white silicate of alumina and soda with some chlorine. It looks similar to Lapis Lazuli, and is a component of Lapis Lazuli. It has varying degrees of white veins of calcite and an occasional speck of pyrite.
